Do you provide recurring landscape maintenance?

Yes. Recurring maintenance is available for selected residential properties, HOA communities, apartment communities, commercial properties, office parks, and similar landscapes. Recurring mowing and maintenance require an agreement with an initial term of at least 12 months.

Do you provide one-time mowing?

Accepted Answer

Our recurring mowing service is provided through an ongoing maintenance agreement. We do not offer one-time mowing as a standard service. If you need cleanup, pruning, bed work, bark or mulch installation, plant replacement, or another enhancement, we can review that request separately.

Do you provide one-time cleanup or enhancement work?

We may review cleanup and enhancement requests depending on the scope, location, site conditions, and availability. Examples may include: Seasonal cleanups Bark or mulch installation Pruning and shearing Plant replacement Landscape-bed improvements Intensive weed removal Other approved enhancement work Enhancement labor is $100 per labor hour. Materials, disposal, and approved equipment charges may be additional. For non-client enhancement work, there is a four-total-labor-hour minimum, including travel and setup. This equals a $400 minimum labor charge. Scope and availability must be reviewed before scheduling.

Do you service residential properties?

Yes. We serve selected residential properties, including personally owned homes and individual residential lots within HOA communities. For straightforward residential maintenance requests, use our online residential pricing application to receive a preliminary price range.

Yes. We work with HOAs, planned communities, property managers, boards, and individual homeowners within HOA communities. Depending on the request, service may include: HOA common areas Individual residential lots Common areas and individual lots together Community-wide maintenance Seasonal landscape services Irrigation maintenance and repair Landscape enhancements Every HOA-related request is reviewed to determine the appropriate service arrangement and scope.

Can you maintain individual residential lots within an HOA?

Yes. Individual homeowners within an HOA may sometimes contract with North Star Grounds Care for service on their own residential lots. HOA boards or property managers may also contract with us for common areas, multiple lots, or community-wide maintenance. For service on one individual residential lot, use the residential pricing application. For common areas, multiple lots, or HOA-wide work, select Request a Property Review.

What if I am not sure whether my request is residential or HOA/commercial?

Use the following guide: One homeowner requesting service for their own lot: use the residential pricing application. An HOA board or property manager requesting common-area service: request a property review. A request involving multiple residential lots: request a property review. A request involving common areas and individual lots: request a property review. If you are unsure, contact us and we will route your request appropriately.

Do you provide interior home services?

No. North Star Grounds Care provides outdoor landscape maintenance, irrigation service for existing systems, enhancements, and related property-care services. We do not provide interior home services.

Can I get a maintenance price online?

Accepted Answer

Individual residential customers can use our online pricing application to receive a preliminary price range for straightforward recurring maintenance. The price range is based on available property information and is not a guaranteed final price. Final pricing may vary if site conditions, requested services, access, or the actual property scope differ. HOA boards, property managers, commercial properties, apartment communities, common-area requests, multiple-lot requests, and complex projects should select Request a Property Review instead.

What information is needed for a residential online estimate?

The residential pricing application will collect the information needed to prepare a preliminary price range. Do not complete a second website form unless the application directs you to do so.

Do you install new irrigation systems?

No. North Star Grounds Care does not design or install new irrigation systems. We service existing irrigation systems through a separate assessment and estimate process.

For existing systems, we may provide: Seasonal startup Seasonal shutdown and winterization System checks Irrigation monitoring Sprinkler-head adjustments Leak and coverage evaluation Troubleshooting Approved repairs Component replacement Repairs, replacement parts, extensive troubleshooting, and additional labor require separate approval.

What is included in irrigation startup and shutdown?

Startup generally includes pressurizing the existing system, activating zones, and checking basic operation. Shutdown generally includes blowing out irrigation lines and winterizing the system to help protect components from freeze damage. The exact scope depends on the system and approved service agreement.

Do you guarantee irrigation performance?

Accepted Answer

No. Existing irrigation systems can have age-related wear, hidden damage, design limitations, pressure issues, electrical problems, or other conditions outside the scope of routine service. We will review visible conditions and recommend additional work when appropriate.

Do you guarantee weed elimination or plant survival?

No. Results can be affected by weather, soil, pests, plant condition, irrigation, and other factors outside our control. We perform the approved services according to the agreed scope and applicable product requirements.

Are snow and ice services included?

No. Snow and ice services are not automatically included in landscape-maintenance agreements. Snow or ice work must be reviewed and confirmed separately.

What areas do you serve?

We serve selected communities in Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties, generally near the I-5 corridor. Service availability depends on the property location, route fit, requested scope, and current capacity. What should I do if I see an irrigation problem?

For an active customer, report the property address and describe the issue, such as a leak, broken sprinkler head, coverage problem, or system that will not operate. For a new irrigation request, select Request a Property Review. We service existing systems but do not install new irrigation systems.
